We are feeling grief and empathy for what has happened. A lot of people feel overwhelmed or paralyzed. Like them I condemn the acts of terror utterly. Others instead use the situation of helplessness to pursue their own interests. Nobody should close the eyes when we are lured into a war because we are in a system of alliances. Politicians and executives should not sign a statement for terror against terror. This may eventually lead to terror and attacks in our own country. 
A lot of people are now afraid of this. It does not help if we just watch what happens. What can we do as individuals? 

Over the past years people fought for goals that are important for every human being. Social balance, environmental politics and peace for mankind. 

Now there is the time that all these people should come together to fight for peace for our children, our families and our country. How can we stop that our country and our soldiers take part in a war? And it is in the media every day that there is a war coming. The German chancellor Mr. Schroeder talks about unlimited solidarity towards the United States and even military support. The American president Mr. Bush talks of a long crusade, of the first war in the new millennium. 50.000 reservists have been called back to active duty. 40 Billion dollars are provided as investment capital for the war by the USA alone. Who gives money for peace? 

Especially because we have the awful pictures of terror very clearly in front of our eyes, they should remind us that any further acts of violence and revenge will again strike the innocent people and will cause unbearable suffering and a cycle of escalation which can lead to worldwide terror and war. 

What could have been the goal of the terrorists? May be it was to cause the USA to go to war. In this case there is a dangerous opportunity that the diverse terrorist groups might unite. If innocent people are affected and the national territory is not respected in countries which share the same belief these countries may be forced in to a hopeless situation. And this can eventually result in a religious war, a worldwide war, an endless apocalypse of terror. Do we want this? 

When the powers of reason hold together one can put pressure on the executives and politicians to prevent any involvement in war and to concentrate on help for the present victims and the protection of democracy and freedom. To arrest the terrorists and to break the terrorist organizations is in responsibility of the police organizations in all countries, not the military. Police and secret service have to find the criminals and hand them over to a trial under justice. These are the principles of justice and democracy. Anything else is similar to fundamentalist lynch law and will additionally cause the punishment of innocent people. For how long do we want to see the pictures of suffering and grief and feel the pain? 

We should say no to the ongoing war hysteria and propaganda, we must fight for the peace in the world. The alliance of peace can and must be spread over the whole country. 

We can and must act directly, only then we can prove that we are serious about peace and that one can trust the powers of reason! Say no to the proponents of war! 

Please put the subject alliance for peace on the agenda of every meeting, every public conference and press meetings! 
Everybody in the country must hear the voice of peace and help wherever he/she can before it is too late!
